One Of The Things That You Will Surely Need Is An Exchange Backup

Exchange is one of the enterprise products created by Microsoft that works as a server side client-server and an exchange backup is the method of having a backup for such a system.
Exchange has multiple features such as email, calendaring, tasks and contacts that work in-line with Microsoft's Outlook that works on both a Windows PC and a Mac OS computer. Such a thing is important for businesses because it provides them with a server wherein all their daily activities, communications and much more may be stored in.
Such an important server for information and data should always be backed up just in case an unexpected down time takes place. An exchange backup may be done in 3 different ways. The first way is through an online backup, the second is through an offline backup and the last one is through a brick exchange backup.
The first one, the online backup is as it says; you backup your server while it is online and you do it with another online server as well. You will most likely use certain software for something like this. This is the first backup system that usually takes place because this usually happens while the server is running so as to not disturb operations.
The second one, the offline backup is also as what it says; you backup your server on an online databank. This one is usually done while the server is offline which is usually during after office hours. This is done at that time so that the backup won't disturb the online activities of the server users.
The main reason why this has to be done after server hours is because the server will be dismounted and then copied off to another place. This kind of a backup may be considered as a backup for a backup. If the server gets a few problems the online backup goes into play and when the server crashes the offline backup is then used.
The last kind of an exchange backup is the brick level backup. This is where specific bits and pieces of the server are backed up not the whole thing as compared to the first 2 classifications. The online and offline backups always backup the whole thing but the brick level backup only deals with specifics.
This is done so as to save disk space; plus this allows people to backup only what they want or need to backup. However the problem with this is that this tends to take a lot of time and not only that but this may only be done when the server is offline; in other words this is different form of an offline backup.
A whole night is not enough to backup a whole server on the brick level especially if the server is incredibly large. One method to do this time consuming task is to only backup the data that was changed or to only backup the very, very important data. An exchange backup is very important so as to not lose any important data during an unexpected scenario.
